Beaver Creek School, a K-8 small rural school in Arizona with approximately 250 students, has been going through a technology literacy program qualification. If we qualify, we will receive grant moneys to purchase equipment and training to achieve our stated goals. During this process, an industrious 8th grade student also part of our team, Sean Merlin, created a survey for the students asking for their input. The last question was this: "What type of computers do you like" and the choices were IBM or MAC. 3rd through 8th grades were surveyed and the results were, (surprise surprise) IBM - 46 MAC - 72 Children are truly smarter than we give them credit. Kudos to Sean for knowing his stuff, too. One smart kid with a computer and presentation skills. |
