Keyword: Advocacy, Why Macs Are Better This tidbit is from: Trey Yancy Here's a fun story: A while back a friend installed a CD-ROM in their PC then spent two weeks trying to get it to work. In contrast, I recently upgraded the CD-ROM drive in my 8100, moving my old 2x drive to our CD-less LC-I. All it took was $29 for the enclosure and a time commitment of 11 minutes from power off to power on. Installing the new drive in my 8100 took 3 1/2 of those 11 minutes. I performed this installation while balancing my wiggling toddler on my lap. In order to distract my daughter while I installed the drive, I sang an improvised version of the horse racing song from Guys and Dolls. By the time the installation was done my daughter was merrily singing "Can do! Can do! This guy has a Mac: can do...!" My PC using friend, however, was singing a different refrain: "You make a grown man cry...!" |
