Subject: Tidbit - LASAT Modem and Mac

Keyword: Advocacy, Why Macs Are Better

This tidbit is from:

Jaime Carvajal

I have recently bougth a new LASAT 56K modem for my Duo 230 and found
something interesting in the manual, not that I ever read a manual before
(or after) instaling a new device for my Mac, but just for the fun of it.

The best part of the manual is the Troubleshooting and FAQ sections;
basically, 7 pages just in case you have any problems. I was getting a
bit angry about the manual because all the points and questions relate to
Windows users (for a change, they forget us, the Mac users) when I
arrived to the last question:

"Q: How do I get my analogue LASAT modem to run on my Macintosh?"

"A: Basically, you do not need anything but the modem and a Macintosh
modem cable."

I LOVE IT. Seven pages explaining to Wintel users how to get it to work
and one sentence for the Mac user, and what a sentence!!!
