Subject: Comparing Prices and Features

When my grandfather left me $2500 in his will over last Winter, my first
thought was to buy a new PC laptop — I needed something that was
portable and would be a good companion on trips with the Pride of
Oklahoma Marching Band. I checked out all the PC manufacturers —
Toshiba, Dell, Gateway, HP, Compaq, IBM, and others. Then my friend
suggested I look at Apple — and so I did — and after comparing prices
and feature lists, the Apple won hands down! A $1700 laptop that could
play DVDs and burn CDs was unthinkable to the other dealers — and so, I
bought myself a shiny new iBook.

When I got my iBook, I was astounded — it was the first computer I’d
ever had that booted up cleanly on the first try, unlike my PCs. I was
used to OS 9 already, so I tried OS X — and was stunned by its ease of
use and clean interface. And I had my UNIX command line! The thought of
a Mac with a command line was astonishing, but there it was! As a
result, I use my iBook almost 3-to-1 compared to my PC. I have been so
pleased with my switch!

Thanks, Apple, for making my computing life infinitely easier.
