Subject: There was no “compatibility” problem

I’m a 73 year old grandmother of 5, and far from a computer guru! I had
been using Windows for about 7 years. When my son suggested a new flat
panel iMac as my next computer, I was intrigued, but a little worried.
What about all my files on my Windows computer? Would it be difficult to
use a computer that was different than what I was used to?

Well, I was able to easily transfer my Microsoft Office files from my
old Windows machine, and every one opened perfectly the first time on my
new iMac. Unlike what some people had told me, there was no
“compatibility” problem. My new iMac has been fun and easy to use. I
love using iPhoto for the digital photos I take of my grandchildren!

I work part time at my church putting together the newsletter. I use a
Windows computer there, and I have no problem moving back and forth
between that computer and my Mac at home.

Plus, my iMac is beautiful! I love the flat panel display, and the fact
that it is so easy to position at just the right height and angle.
