Subject: “It’s so easy!”

I am the marketing manager for a tourist-based business on Kauai,
Hawaii. We do guided ATV tours on 22,000 acres of private property. We
take anywhere between 60 to 160 digital photos of guests on their tour
which is available for purchase right after the tour.

We purchased a G4 and an iMac for the project and have made commercial
use of the “digital hub” provided by Apple. We use image capture to
download the files from the camera, iPhoto to show the pictures to
guests, and disk burner to burn a cd of their tour. The iPhoto upgrade
allows us to play beautiful Hawaiian music while they view their
pictures.

And it does not stop there. We use an AirPort base station to wirelessly
connect all our computers. We use iDisk to transfer files to clients and
among ourselves and use the easy features of Entourage to keep updated
with our appointments and advance bookings.

Our next project is DVDs. We have a SuperDrive on our G4 and are about
to debut our first DVD experience of the tours.

So why a Macs instead of PC’s? Well, this project would not exist
without the simplicity of the Mac interface. Downloading, viewing, and
burning files was much more complicated on PC’s (we tried). Macs are
intuitive, simple, and quick — something we need when in the presence of
demanding consumers.

When customers see how easy it is to burn a file they are amazed. “It’s
so easy!” is a common remark from our customers - and I agree.
