"The attacks, waged over the Internet, made computers crash and caused what is known as the "blue screen of death"--a reference to the blue screen that accompanies Microsoft's "fatal error" message." The article goes on to talk about the fact that this wasn't a "new" problem, but one that was fixed with a patch released in January. It's pointed out by one of the victims that there's a "steady stream of patches" coming from Microsoft, implying that it's not easy to keep up with the current version. |
